Kathy G-Jensen started playing golf at 9 years old on a 9 hole golf course in Baker City, Oregon.  During her high school summer, Billy Casper Golf Camp in San Diego, CA is where her passion for teaching transpired.  Kathy received the “Billy Casper Award” 3 consecutive years and earned a golf scholarship from Oregon State University.  After college, she became a PGA & LPGA Club Golf Professional under legendary Mr. Joe Durgan and has been a PGA Class A Golf Professional since 1990.

Spending 10 years alternating seasons from different golf facilities from Coeur d’Alene, ID to Mesa and Tucson, AZ, Kathy’s learning experience included teaching and club fitting, which became her passion to help other golfers achieve GOLF RESULTS NOW.  Her knowledge from Henry-Griffitts staff and Chuck Hogan, sports psychologists, impacted her teaching forever.  Kathy’s clients have included Hall of Fame MLB players Dennis Eckersley and Jim Kaat as well as other professional athletes.  The road led her to become the Head PGA Golf Professional in 1990 with The Highlands Golf & Country Club in Post Falls, ID.  In 1996, Kathy and her husband started a family and spent 15 years as a PGA Golf Professional at Deer Park Golf Club in Deer Park, WA.  Since August 2010 her opportunities routed to Randy Henry’s Dynamic Golf Academy which is located at the Coeur d’Alene Resort Plaza Shops in Cd’A, ID with an amazing technology side of golf.  Currently, Kathy is the Director of Golf Teaching & Coaching and Co-Founder of Jensen Lindeblad Impact Golf Academy located at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane, WA.  Her most humbling honor: receiving the 2014 PGA National Teacher of the Year Award, being the first woman in PGA History, first from the PNWPGA Section (1 out of 28,000 PGA members nationally)!

Currently, Kathy works with juniors, High School, and College students, as well as providing individual and group lessons.  Her contributions to the PGA Inland Empire Chapter, PNWPGA Section Governance and the community of Spokane, WA have been rewarding and continue to this date.  She continues to play in local Pro-Ams and Tournaments.

There are several ways to learn the Greatest Game on Earth.  Make sure it is “Your Unique Golf Experience”.

With such an impressive career summary, it is no wonder Kathy G-Jensen is the PGA National Teacher of the year.
